Hello! My name is Sarah Torres and I am a very hyper, caring, and responsible person. I get along with children great and I have a few younger siblings. I am the Distinguished Young Woman of Portage for the class of 2022 and competed at the state level and placed top ten. I was also the captain of the tennis team and was on the varsity dance team. I recently graduated from high school and aim to save for college. I will be pursuing science as a pre-dental student. I have done outside research through the IU medical school, researching cancer therapies. During my high school years, I was very involved, I was class president, vice president of the National Honors Society, and I was also the school news anchor. I have also played piano since the age of eight! I have a big family so I have been babysitting for quite some time. I look forward to meeting new families!

The most important part about being a nanny is to be genuine and kind. These young individuals are still developing so you need to be careful with what you say and do in front of them. Being there for them whether it is listening to their conversation or helping them out with school math problems is very important.

I have worked with special needs children at school but I never had a lot of one-on-one time with them. I helped them get to class.

Attempting to bake brownies and it turned into a cake instead with my younger brother.
