I’ve grown up taking care of and babysitting my sister and have been watching kids at church since I was 13. I have most recently been the primary sitter for a family with 5 children and I absolutely have loved it, but the kiddos will all be in school this fall so they won't be needing me as much!

Some activities I love to do with children include dancing/singing, going to the playground, coloring, asking them questions that stimulate brain thought, going swimming, jumping on the trampoline, and playing with their toys with them.

The most important part about being a nanny to me is making sure that the child feels valued. I want each child that I encounter to feel loved and supported no matter what. I want the child to be able to come to me with anything and feel safe around me.

I don't have any experience with one on one care for special needs children, but I have a big heart with a lot of patience and would be open to learning or adapting to a specific care routine.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One day we were headed to the public pool and one of the kids asked me what a job was and how to make money. Then he said, "Well where can I get a job? I need money to buy candy!" It was actually so hilarious because he was being dead serious and he is 5 years old.
