More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
For three years, I taught swim lessons at my local pool, Five Seasons Family Sports Club, which helped me develop strong communication skills, patience, and a focus on safety while still making learning fun.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some fun activities I enjoy doing with children include arts and crafts, playing sports, going to the movies, visiting arcades, and bowling. I also love planning creative activities like baking together, outdoor games, reading, and themed activity days to keep kids engaged, active, and having fun.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny in my opinion is creating a safe, supportive, and caring environment where children feel secure, valued, and encouraged to grow. A nanny plays a key role in a child’s daily routine by providing consistency, patience, and positive guidance, while also supporting learning, creativity, and independence. Building trust with both the children and their families is essential, as it allows children to feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn and explore their world.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience working with children with special needs is limited, but I am always open and eager to learn new challenges. I have worked with families of children with special needs while teaching swim lessons, which has helped me develop patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills. I am committed to providing a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment for every child.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when a little girl I used to babysit excitedly showed me all of her cats. We sat together while she told me everything she noticed about each one of their personalities, patterns, and little details she loved. Listening to her talk with so much joy and confidence was incredibly sweet, and it remains one of my first and favorite moments because it reminded me how important it is to truly listen and be present with children.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Normal, IL: Maddy D.
I have over three years of experience working in a daycare with children from infancy through school age. When COVID began, I transitioned into full-time nannying for an 8-month-old and loved the one-on-one connection that comes with caring for a family in that way.
I have a college degree and currently work full time in the corporate world, but I’m looking to transition back into nannying—where my passion truly is. I’m dependable, attentive, and excited to provide a safe, supportive environment for your child.
