I started to Volunteer at Preschools and Day cares at around 14 years old. I eventually took a season position at one of the local day cares in my city and i worked there for 3 years . Outside of that I am the on call family babysitter!
My experience with special needs children...
I grew up with a mother who worked with special needs children since before I was born. When I was 3 years old my mom had a girl named Star . She was non verbal but no one couldn’t tell me she wasn’t my best friend. I didn’t find out that Star was special needs until I was 7 . I said all of that to say my mom didn’t teach me that Star was any different from me . She was just Star my best friend who was different from me and needed more attention!
