The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters to me most as a nanny is making sure the child I am caring for feels safe and comfortable with me. I want them to feel seen, heard, comfortable, and their best self with me. I practice this by being a friend first and foremost. For example: stooping down to speak with them at eye level, active/ receptive listening, maintaining eye contact and a warm expression on my face and more.
