Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Playing board games!! I am a huuge fan of family game nights. Drawing is a wonderful way for children to express themselves. Taking a walk outside for some fresh air and it’s great sun exposure. Letting the kids pick the music and have a dance party. For the younger girls it’s always a favorite for dress up and a tea party. And for a boys we play with nerf guns or their favorite video game. If the kids are big sweets fans I also love to bake and we can have a movie night!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I always want to be the fun one but it’s still important that the kids are actually taking something from each lesson and leave every time with a little more knowledge and growth. I love kids and I want to bond with them! Having that connection or bond with the child you look after is so crucial because sometimes they tell you things they tell no one else and it’s so important to listen to them when they do. Kids are vulnerable so it’s the sweetest thing to me when a child comes to me and tells me about what’s going on in their life when they’re so closed off to everyone else.

I have some basic experience with teaching special needs children but not as much where I’m as confident.
The most important part about being a nanny...
On the last day I after swim class ended my kid showed me her doll that she made look like me, I had to hold back tears it was so adorable! And her parents were so kind.
