More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been babysitting since I was 13. Most of the children I babysat were newborn to 1 years old. However, I have also cared for toddlers and big kids. I taught a lovely group of kindergartners how to code in a STEM camp in 2018.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing arts and crafts. I would live to take children on walks and go to nearby parks. I would love to do any activities that involve the children getting off the screens as much as possible.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It’s important to make sure that the children are comfortable & safe enough to talk to you. Also, making sure the children are entertained, fed, and happy.

My experience with special needs children...

While I haven’t directly taken of care of any special needs children, I have an older brother that has special needs. I have also participated in clubs and gave assistance in special needs classrooms. I would be willing to learn the in’s and out’s of caring for your special needs child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was nannying a baby around 9 months and he had been crying all day because he was sick. I had been walking him around trying to get him to calm down and when I finally laid down with him it suddenly got very quiet. I then heard the sweetest baby gibberish in the world. It was so precious and he just babbled until he fell asleep. Hands down the best baby moment.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Atlanta, GA: Zamiya A.

Hi! I am Zamiya Armstrong. I am currently a Junior at Georgia State University majoring in Pre-Med Biology to become an OB/GYN. I am also on the cheer team as a co-ed flyer. Because I will be in a field that requires interaction with children I think having some hands on training early could help me for the future.

I have worked as a teacher in a Christian daycare in the nursery usually dealing with newborns-about 1 year olds but I do have experience with older ages. I have also been on another nanny app called "SitterTree" going on two years now helping lots of families around the Metro Atlanta area!

I love children and am very fun, caring, energetic and patient. I’m also the oldest of 5 siblings (all girls) ages 6-18. Thank you for your consideration. Looking forward to working with you and your family!
