My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with a organization called buddy camp for about 4 years every summer for of highschool. BUDDY CAMP is one of the most unique community wide projects in the state that allows children aged 5 through 11 with and without developmental challenges, to participate in a week long summer day camp program. Our goal is to bring together children of all abilities by placing them in Buddy Pairs, where the same two buddies will share quality, structured camp activities throughout the week as they learn more about each other and develop friendships, healthy behaviors, and Christian attitudes.
