Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked in a daycare as a daycare assistant for almost two years. I also would babysit and nanny for children at my church and had experience watching children of all ages from new born to 10 year olds.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I like to take the children on walks to the park, play board games, play trivia games or games like tag. I also like to help the children learn more about history by reading a book to them or possibly talking about it (dinosaurs, stuff like that).
The most important part about being a nanny...
First thing is making sure the children are taken care of and that you are communicating with the parents throughout the time period of them being gone. Secondly, make sure you let the children know who you are and that they are comfortable, so they know who is watching over them for the time being. Another important thing to remember, is to always follow the rules. No matter what house, always follow the rules that the parents set out for the nanny. It’s important that the parents know they left their kids in a responsible adults care.

I have worked in a class room with special needs children from time to time. I have experienced hands on learning with the kids and helped them do different activities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I was watching these two kids on the weekend and we were playing a board game. He had won the game and his sister started crying. So he decided to start over and let her win the second time around. I thought it was the cutest little thing!
