Is being able to adapt. No child or experience will be the same. You have to really get to know your kids to figure out a system that works for both of you guys.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve worked with children with different degrees of autism during my time at the daycare as a gym teacher. Although I’m no specialist, i found tricks to make it easier for them such as writing out the days objectives and modifying certain lesson plans so it doesn’t overwhelm any child and that everyone can find something that they are happy to participate in.
The most important part about being a nanny...
For the week leading up to Valentine’s Day, i paired up kids with other kids and they had to write something they liked about that child. Then on Valentine’s Day, i made them love bags where they had notes of what their peers admired about each other and had snacks and stickers with it!
