Hello, my name is Shannon. I am 50 yrs. old. My skills are patience, communication, flexibility, dependable. I do not smoke. I worked in a 5 star church daycare for over 19 years in Springlake. I worked with infants and toddlers until they closed in 2017. I have plenty of references i can give you. I have taken childcare classes at Kaplan university , I am certified in CPR.I love doing arts and crafts that is age appropriate. I read, sang songs, did finger plays
,played outside weather permitted. I interacted with them.I kept 2 sweet babies a girl and a boy for over a year and a half. Riding toys, books, puzzles, art supplies that was age appropriate, a baby pool. They learned their abc's, colors, shapes, songs. They moved away but I still hear from them every so often. I also kept another sweet baby boy here at my home for almost a year they moved back home but I still hear from them alot. I can get a reference from her to. I also only charge what you can afford.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a nanny for a military couple the dad was military but the mom stayed home but I helped her with the 3 girls while she had to go to appointments shopping or anything like that. They went on date nights. I helped them.for 4 years until they got orders.I worked with infants and toddlers at a 5 star church daycare for 18 years in Springlake until they closed. I loved it. I did arts and crafts with them, read, sang, played outside.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing painting, playdough, singing, coloring, reading, blowing bubbles, waterplay it depends on the age of the child. I let them do kool whip let them play in that.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is interacting with them wile they are in my care. Is making them feel safe, have fun in a safe way. Also letting the parents know they are in good hands.

My experience with special needs children...

I had a sweet little girl who had down syndrome in the toddler room at the daycare where I worked until 2017. Also I have worked with children that were on epi pens because of high allergies like any kind of nuts, ant bites bee stings, eggs.
