Hello! My name is Shannon Stokes and I am currently 18 living in Raleigh NC. I recently graduated Highschool and am looking for a wonderful family to share and care for this summer! I have a full license and car so I am comfortable picking and dropping off children to and from places. I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading books, and knitting! I am first aid, BLS, and CPR certified for infant and children. Through the years I have taken care of, fed, and tutored my 2 younger sisters and my nieces. I also have extensive experience with pets of all shapes and sizes. After this summer I will be attending Alaska Pacific to further my career in care and become a midwife nurse.

Some outdoor activities I can do with kids includes walks/going on trails, going to the park, and playing sports.
For the rainy summer days when the children are most roudy I enjoy a nice day inside! Baking, watching movies together (I know all the disney songs), reading, and playing board games!

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is to make a positive impact in the child’s life. The summers can be the most important part of a child’s memories, not only because they will be having lots of fun and making memories, but also because this is the perfect opportunity to teach them new things! Advancing in educational abilities, learning more about special interests such as nature, and also how to become more mindful and social.

My 12 y/o sister has autism and I have watched and taken care of her for years. I can effectively cater towards specific needs/ preferences (food, clothes, places) and give special care in educational delays and help tutoring.
