"Sharisa Brito is an exceptional nanny and we deeply value her contributions to our family. I can recommend her whole-heartedly and without reservations. We placed her with her nanny family here in NY and I have received nothing but the highest regards for her. The whole family adores her and considers her part of our family. She is extremely knowledgable about children’s growth and development, safety practices, how to effectively teach gross and fine motor skills, along with kindness as she is a warm, loving, positive role model."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
As a certified medical assistant with experience in pediatrics, I have provided direct care to children of various ages, assisting with routine check-ups, administering vaccines, and supporting families with health education. My role involved creating a child-friendly environment, ensuring comfort during medical procedures, and communicating effectively with both children and parents. This experience has enhanced my ability to address children’s needs with patience, empathy, and attention to detail, which seamlessly translates into my role as a nanny.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
As a nanny, I enjoy engaging children in activities that are both fun and enriching. These include arts and crafts to encourage creativity, reading stories to inspire imagination and improve literacy, and outdoor play to promote physical activity. I also love organizing educational games, cooking simple meals or snacks together, and helping with homework to support their academic growth. My goal is to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and intellectually.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing about being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally. Building a trusting relationship with both the children and their parents is essential, as it ensures open communication and consistency in care. A nanny should also be adaptable, patient, and attentive to each child’s unique needs, providing love, guidance, and structure to help them feel secure and confident as they grow.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum and children with ADHD. My experience includes creating structured routines, using positive reinforcement, and adapting activities to their unique interests and abilities. I focus on fostering a supportive environment by practicing patience, understanding sensory needs, and employing strategies to improve focus and engagement. Working closely with families, I ensure that each child receives personalized care that helps them feel safe, confident, and valued.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the sweetest and funniest moments I’ve had with my kids was when they decided to “surprise” me by making breakfast in bed. I woke up to a tray filled with a mix of cereal, an unpeeled banana, and toast with way too much jelly, but their proud smiles made it the best meal ever. They even added a handwritten note that said, “You’re the best cook, so we tried too!” It was a perfect mix of chaos and love, and it still makes me smile to this day.
