I’ve had experience working with handicap and hearing impaired children. I’ve learned a little bit of ASL but I could use a bit more.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I had been working with a child with ADHD and he was struggling to spell his name. He knew what his name was but could never spell it or was just afraid to. So we made a song out of his name to help him remember how to spell it. One day I asked him, “how do you spell your name?” And he SPELLED IT! Not sang it but actually SPELLED IT OUT! I was happy for him and myself.
