Indoor activities The use of items that encourage play and imitation such as boxes, pans, spoons and keys provide entertainment; such items encourages awareness and sensory perceptions. Their fascination with the everyday items will lead to imitating your daily behaviors. WORD comprehension: Understanding words is a major development; associating words with a particular thing can help develop vocabulary. LEARNING games: helps your baby exercise their growing brain which is progressed through functional play. (Example) Giving him/her a comb or brush, allowing them to use the item(s). Indoor can be interesting when the games are made up according to the child's' age and interest. Bubbles and chalk are always winners. Obstacle courses are fun for indoor and out door games. The encouragement of dance, hide and seek, hopscotch are activities for in or outside. Sensory play is important because it gives your child the opportunity to explore new objects in a safe and creative way.
