More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over 3 years experience as a nanny. The past 1.5 years, I cared for a 4-5 year-old girl with special needs, (non-verbal, high-sensory, autism). I was responsible for adventures to parks to help her socialize, I learned to speak her "language", which included modified sign-language, sounds and other unique communications. We explored lots of music and art activities and had oodles of fun!

I was a part-time nanny for 2 boys, 9 & 10, for approximately 1.5 years. I picked them up from school, took them to soccer practice and cared for them on date nights and special ocassions for the parents. Assisted with homework, played games, danced to their favorite songs with them and provided light housekeeping, laundry, ironing and prepared meals for them.

I was a single mom with 2 kids, 2 years apart in age and had a full-time (18-year) career as a professional recruiter. My kids are grown-up, 29 and 25.

Long ago, I worked with 8-9 year olds at the YMCA, summers and after school.
