More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked with children my whole life! Like many big sisters, I took care of my little brother for years. As I have grown older, I consistently take care of 4 little girls, all close in age. I enjoy working with first and second graders, third and fourth graders, eighth graders with psychological disorders, and kids with severe disabilities.
Because of my experiences babysitting, I have been exposed to all household responsibilities. These responsibilities include cooking, changing diapers', helping with homework, entertaining children, and above all; creating a loving environment.
My teaching job has taught me so many things, I could talk about it forever! I am most thankful for the opportunity to be exposed to all different personalities, and then learn how to adapt to them. I strive to create a home away from home, for each of my students.
I love every second of my job, and I wouldn't trade spending time with children for anything in the world!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I always have an open mind when entertaining children! I love considering their suggestions of what seems fun, and then watching the spark of pure joy in their eyes.
The only thing I think is better than helping kids find their happiness, is creating it for them! I love playing hide and seek, and hearing them giggle when they think I can't find them. I love to do magic tricks, and see their reactions of amazement. I love to play tag, and race them, always pushing them to do their best. I love to read stories before bedtime, always hoping this helps them feel loved.
The list could go on and on. There is never a dull moment when I'm taking care of children, and that's what I love about it!

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating an environment where the child feels loved, and the parents feel security.
Creating a place where the child has comfort when their parents are away is beyond important. It's also important to help the child learn developmental skills that are essential when growing up.
It might be even more important to create an environment the parents feel is safe. The parents goals for their children should always come first.

My experience with special needs children...
My BIGGEST passion is caring for children with special needs.
I have cared for 3 young children with down syndrome. Each one has such a stubborn personality, I'm sure they could move mountains if they tried.
Working with them has taught me to use countless different approaches in order to get children to listen to me. It has also taught me to adapt to change, as well as sometimes unpredictable behavior. It has taught me to be patient in all sorts of situations, and remain calm during chaos.
Sometimes working with my students is challenging, but I love them to the end of the earth. Kids with special needs will always have a place in my heart.

Live-In Part-Time Nanny Available in San Diego, CA: Kairi K.
Hi I’m Kairi! Im a freshman in college and I have tons of childcare experience. I love working with children because I believe it’s important to help have a positive impact on others, especially adolescents. I am helpful, kind, and don’t mind messes! Children are always learning and observing. One of my core values when it comes to babysitting/nannying is to always have a positive impact on the child because they learn by example. I am neat, I love to bake and don’t mind meal prepping, and I am patient. I have a car so I do not mind picking up/dropping off children.
