More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Besides raising my own daughter, for the last 2 years, I spent a lot of time babysitting a 3 and 8-year-old three days a week back in Florida. I also worked at Banyon Creek Elementary's summer camp a while back, which was great for learning how to handle groups of kids. Outside of traditional childcare, I completed a sacred birthworker mentorship to hold space and support moms through their pregnancy and motherhood journeys. Plus, if you have pets, I actually worked with a dog trainer for a couple of years and have done tons of obedience and behavior modification classes, so I'm completely comfortable and capable around animals!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping days active, creative, and fully engaged. Since we are a screen-free household, I focus on hands-on fun like arts and crafts, playing games, singing songs, and reading books together. I also love getting outside, so trips to the local playground or backyard play are always a big part of the routine to make sure kids get plenty of fresh air and active movement.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I chose childcare because it is a field where my experience as a parent is a direct asset. Working as a sitter allows me to maintain a structured, active routine while utilizing my caregiving skills. It also provides a wonderful opportunity for children to learn from one another, socialize, and practice sharing in a supportive environment, which I find brings out the best in everyone involved.

I do not have specific experience with special needs children, but I am always open to learning a family's unique routine.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was playing an animal guessing game with the kids on a day we were stuck inside. They took turns acting like different animals while the rest of us tried to guess what they were. It was just a super simple moment, but everyone was laughing so hard and having the best time. I just love when kids use their imaginations.
