I was a dental assistant for 2 years and often assisted with children under the age of 14. It helped me learn how to make a child feel for comfortable in an anxiety inducing environment. I’d help make little games to distract them from the dental work and I’d have prizes at the end of the appointment so they’d feel happy and accomplished.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love animals and the outdoors! Going to parks or on walks are some of my favorite activities to do with children because we get to learn about nature together. It’s so important for children to experience and appreciate the outdoors.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is having your head on a swivel and always being vigilant. It’s so important to always have an eye on children at all times. It’s also important to have fun! I love teaching children how to cook or do puzzles. I find that doing little tasks with them throughout the day helps build motor skills and confidence in being independent.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is when I was taking care of a 12 month old. The amount of energy they have is amazing! We ran all around the house together and danced to his favorite songs until he finally got tired out- and so did I!
