A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Shelli Jarrell. I’m from Burr Ferry, LA and moved to Dayton, OH in June 2019. I grew up on a horse ranch caring for all farm animals, siblings, cousins, & my elders. I have been watching other children since I was a child. In my teenage years, I got into exotic animal husbandry after having grown up reading books, documentaries, reading studies, and watching presentations on animals, the present/historic earth, & microbiology. Keeping undomesticated animals has given me the patience, ability to understand from another’s perspective, a keen eye for behavioral changes, and the ability to understand body language. I started working at my Mawmaw’s store at 15yrs and have a good work ethic set. I even funded my own rescue for wildlife & exotics as a teen and the community would help support me by coming to me with any information or surrenders. I am experienced with giving medical care to other people and animals from the rescue as well as my family that spanned into my adulthood.
