Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at Girls Inc. Of Pinellas Park as a driver and also worked with the children at the after-school program. I developed relationships with 80% of the 25 girls I watched and interacted with daily, they confided in me when they were dealing with problems, I helped with relationship issues among the girls, helped with homework and taught everytime an opportunity presented itself. I adored the girls & found this job so satisfying. I worked her up until the pandemic in March 2020 when schools were closed. My job was eliminated temporarily since I was technically the driver, even though I spent more time with the girls than I did driving.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I cater activities to each child depending on their needs and intrests. I go swimming, do flash cards, puzzles, help with homework, have conversations, play games they like to play& always teach when an opportunity presents itself.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Safety is the number 1 thing. I always make sure the child feels safe with me, after that teaching & entertaining the child is next.

My experience with special needs children...
I cared for a Interlectualy challenged 20 year old 3 x a week for about 6 months. I also drove a shuttle bus for PARC in St.Petersburg driving 10 interlectualy adults with different types of interlectual disabilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
This may seem odd to say this is my favorite nanny moment, but I babysat for a 7 year old for the very 1st time after meeting her and her mother briefly at a Starbucks. That night turned stormy & while I was babysitting we got several Tornado warnings. We went into the bathroom for shelter and we talked about what was going on. I asked what her fear level was, which was 9 out of 10. We talked about what could be happening, but the trees were still and so I told her that was a good sign. We went more i depth and by the end of the evening her fear level had gone down to a 2. The next day she told her mother we had a blast and couldn't w as it for me to watch her again,which I have.
