Caring for a child and making the child feel like they can trust you with anything. I love children and I would never want a child to feel invalid. You have to be prepared for anything and handle it with care always.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for children wit ADHD, autism, and Turner syndrome. And of course it was a challenge at first, but once you are used to the situation and understand how the child likes things handled then it is not too complicated.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Kids have to be the one of the funniest and sweetest human beings ever. A favorite moment of mine with a child I was babysitting was when I got to be included in the gender reveal of the child’s new sibling. It was a sweet moment and I will always remember it because the child treated me as his big sibling and he was so happy to be able to experience that new moment with me and I loved every moment of it.
