A little bit about me

28 years young getting her bachelors degree while becoming a dental assistant, yes all while working full time in nanny care. It works out great! If not spending my day with kiddos or staring at a computer screen for school, you can find me whipping up a batch of homemade cookies, or throwing paint on a canvas (not literally but you know what I mean). I also LOVE anything that’ll get my heart pumping like thrill rides and spooky things. I’m also a sucker for zip lining, and any outdoor adventures. Honestly anything where tennis shoes are required I’m probably totally down for it. I’m also a lover of all things music, I can play the clarinet, saxophone, and a few songs on the piano and ukulele, and no not just Mary had a little lamb and happy birthday, although those are my most requested ones. Aside from all that friends and family, I know cliche but truly, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today without them.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve really only ever worked with an agency or through websites like Nanny lane. However, some of those have broadened my horizons to churches and daycare facilities. Where it was more of a group setting rather than a one on one nanny care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Anything artistic. I think the more tactile and hands on fun with kids the better, and NO not everything has to end in disastrous messes haha. There are a ton of educational and fun activities to do with kids that are safe and fun for all, even the cleanup for the nanny :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a part of a child’s developmental years is an honor and blessing to see. Remember too we were all once these tiny little humans navigating everything all at once. Learning and seeing things for the first time and even hearing music and seeing a movie too. Exploration and discovery is such a fun phase to be a part of a kiddos life. Also, it’s truly amazing what the little ones can teach us too. You’d be surprised!

My experience with special needs children...

The only special needs I have at least a year experience in is children with Autism, both verbal and non verbal. Ages 3-7 years old. I have never administered lifesaving medications either other than diabetic medication.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is when the kiddos I look after start humming/or singing along to song they hear me sing. It’s amazing how quickly kids can grasp concepts when being able mirror you. So cute!
