A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Sidney Bird, and I’m the oldest of five siblings. Growing up in a big family, I’ve been caring for kids for as long as I can remember. I attended Saint Francis of Assisi from preschool through 8th grade and recently graduated from Bishop Carroll High School with a 3.4 GPA. Over the past four years, I’ve babysat occasionally and worked at Primrose, gaining hands-on childcare experience. At my high school, I was accepted into the teaching program, where I learned strategies for working with children of all personalities and learning styles. Caring for kids isn’t just something I do, it’s my passion. This fall, I’ll attend Newman University as an Education major, and I can’t think of a better way to build experience than through this role. In my Intro to Teaching class, I learned that educators and childcare givers not only help the children, but the parents as well. With that being said, I’m here to give the love and support your family needs!
