I love doing arts and crafts, like finger painting or simple collage projects, which allow them to express their creativity.
Outdoor play is also essential. We might visit a park, play with balls, or explore nature, which helps them expend energy and develop gross motor skills.
Storytime is a favorite! I use expressive voices and encourage them to participate, which keeps them engaged and helps with language development.
Sensory play is another hit— activities like playing with playdough, sand, or water are both fun and help them explore different textures.
I also enjoy music and movement.
We can sing songs, dance, or even have a little parade.

The most important part of being a nanny is building trust with the child and the family. I want the child to feel safe and happy. I help them learn and play, and I support their growth. I helped with the care of oncology patients assisting parents with their child’s day to day needs and administering medication.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny happened during snack time. I was helping my toddler open a juice box, and when I finally got it open, he exclaimed, “It’s alive!” Then he proceeded to give it a very serious talking-to about how it should behave. I couldn't stop laughing as he declared, “You have to be nice, juice box!” I guess you could say I was just there to supervise the negotiations between a toddler and his snack!
