"Soli took great care of my niece when my sister-in-law sent her over for Thanksgiving, but due to a work emergency I did not have the time to take care of her and cook for her during the day while she staying over. Soli was such a life-saver being able to come over when I could not watch her. She is a very bubbly and creative person, and my niece wishes she could come back!"

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes working as a full-time nanny for a 1-year-old, where I provided daily care, prepared meals, and engaged the child in developmental activities. Additionally, I cared for an older nonverbal special needs child for 3 hours every few weeks, assisting with daily tasks, offering companionship, and ensuring their comfort and safety during each visit. My experience also includes being a camp counselor, where I led groups of children aged 6–14, facilitating activities that promoted teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some of my favorite activities to do with children include getting creative with crafts—like building things out of cardboard, paper, yarn, and making perler bead art. I love encouraging imagination through story time, writing and acting out our own stories, or even reenacting scenes from their favorite TV shows. I’m also a big fan of dance battles, playing board games and kid-friendly video games, and finding fun ways to help kids express themselves through play and movement. I aim to make every activity both fun and enriching!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is recognizing that every child is unique, with their own needs, personalities, and ways of communicating. From my experience caring for a nonverbal special needs child, nannying a toddler full-time, and working with diverse age groups as a summer camp counselor, I’ve learned how important it is to adapt my approach to each child. Whether that means adjusting activities, communication styles, or routines, I always aim to create a supportive, joyful environment where the child feels understood, safe, and empowered to grow. When their individual needs are met, it leads to a happier experience for both the child and the family.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children includes caring for an older nonverbal child every few weeks for a family, where I focused on providing comfort, safety, and supportive one-on-one attention. I also worked as a summer camp counselor, where I led inclusive activities for groups of children aged 6–14, including those with special needs. I made sure every camper felt safe and engaged, adapting activities like crafts, storytelling, and games to suit individual needs. These experiences have taught me patience, empathy, and how to create a fun, supportive environment for all children, regardless of ability.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when the kids and I made up a wild, hilarious story together. We created costumes out of paper and tape, turning our living room into a stage. The highlight was acting it out—complete with dramatic scenes, a dance battle, and my ultimate (and very funny) defeat! It was such a fun, imaginative day that really captured the joy of creative play and the strong bond we shared.
