More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Through my school, I've gotten the opportunity to volunteer with many organizations. I've been able to teach conflict resolution skills in the classroom, guide high school students through global issues, and provide remedial reading assistance to elementary and middle school students.
Through these experiences, I've come to see how unique each child is and work with a wide range of diverse learning styles. I love finding new ways to encourage kids and help them challenge themselves, as well as engage in their passions with them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Art activities, especially drawing, painting, clay, and jewellery making. I always bring stickers to work with me!
I strongly believe in reading to/with kids. I love finding books we can bond over together, and I am always helping them with phonics and thinking critically about the story.
Outdoor play is key to child development. I love taking even young babies for nature walks, looking for "treasure" and exploring. We may also attend community events and go to the park. I've found that exposing children to the outdoors helps them grow up happy, healthy, and confident in themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I love the many moments with kids that make me laugh, but the ones that stand out the most are the ones where a kid grows and perseveres because of my help. I'm always so proud when kids transition to big kid beds, learn a new skateboarding trick, or gain independence by putting on their own shoes.
