Although I may not have formal experience as a nanny, I've gained invaluable caregiving expertise through my family. My twin one-year-old nieces have been my pride and joy, and I've been there for them since their first breath. I even took on the role of primary caregiver for my niece Layla when her twin sister Quinn faced a challenging hospitalization that lasted over a month. My journey into childcare started early, as I began babysitting my little cousins when I was just seven years old, instilling a strong sense of responsibility and care. Additionally, my experience in pet sitting has taught me patience and attentiveness, qualities that extend naturally to caring for children. I'm excited to bring my nurturing instincts and dedication to families in need of a compassionate nanny.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some activities I enjoy (probably as much at the children do) are going to the park, going for walks, having dance parties, painting nails (as I mentioned earlier, I’m a licensed nail tech!), making bracelets, puzzles, hide and seek, video games, and so much more! The possibilities are endless!
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, besides the obvious part being keeping the child safe, the most important part of being a nanny is being trustworthy, loving, patient, kind, and of course fun! My goal as a nanny or babysitter is and will always be to be someone the parents can trust and rest easy that their child is safe with me. In all aspects of life I strive to treat others how I would like to be treated, and that doesn’t stop here. When I’m a mother and possibly in need of a nanny, I hope to find someone with those qualities and morals.
My experience with special needs children...
One of my little cousins has autism as well as sensory issues. His mom always told me I was so great with him and should pursue a career helping other little ones just like him. While I chose a different career path, I still think about if I may have possibly missed a calling there.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I don’t babysit my little cousin anymore unfortunately but everytime she comes to visit at my house she still begs me to make bracelets with her or to paint her nails like we did when i babysat her years ago!
