As a writer who loves reading, I enjoy reading books together, telling stories, and encouraging imaginative play. We might spend one day doing arts and crafts, baking, dancing, or building puzzles, and the next playing sports, exploring the park, or visiting libraries, museums, zoos, and other fun local attractions. I also love introducing children to basic French through songs, books, games, and everyday conversations. I believe the best learning happens when children are having fun, and I love creating moments they’ll look forward to every day.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I don’t think there’s just one most important part of being a nanny because every child and every family is different. To me, it’s about being someone parents can wholeheartedly trust and someone their child is excited to see each day. I strive to be an extension of the parents by reinforcing their values, routines, and parenting style while creating a loving, safe, and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and simply enjoy being kids. I believe in celebrating every milestone, encouraging independence, building confidence, and teaching kindness through everyday moments. At the end of the day, I hope the children I care for know they are loved, capable, and important, and that parents have complete peace of mind knowing their child is not only well cared for, but genuinely cherished like family.

I have experience caring for children with special needs and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and individualized care. I work closely with families to follow routines, provide encouragement, and create a calm, supportive environment where every child feels safe, respected, and understood.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was watching a little girl I cared for grow in confidence over time. When we first met, she would often say, “I can’t do it,” whenever something felt difficult. We started practicing positive affirmations together every day, reminding ourselves to say, “I can do it,” and “I will do it.” As time went on, I watched her become more confident, not just in herself but in the way she treated others. One day at the playground, I heard her encouraging another child by saying, “You can do it!” Hearing her pass on those same words of encouragement was such a proud moment for me. It reminded me that caring for children is about helping them believe in themselves, build confidence, and spread kindness to others.
