The most important part about being a nanny...
There are many important parts about being a good nanny, but to me the most important ones are:
- building trust and comfort: Your children are my main focus and since I want to take care of them, I want to make sure that they, as well as you as the parents, see me as a person they can trust and also talk to when problems occur.
- being enthusiastic about my job: As a nanny it is crucial to love what you're doing, since only then it is possible to really connect with the children. I think children can sense when that's not the case and that's what I want to avoid. I love taking care of kids and I will always go the extra mile to make this experience just as rewarding for you and your children as it will be for me.
- being flexible: I think the work with kids isn't just a nine to five job as "emergency" situations can always occur. I am a very flexible person. I'd work as a live-out or a live-in nanny and I'll always make sure to be available in case I'm needed.

My experience with special needs children...
- 1 boy (10 years old) with autism
- my cousin (boy, 9 months old, who's mentally disabled due to complications at birth)

The most important part about being a nanny...
In 2018 I took care of a young boy who's autistic. This was probably the most difficult challenge, as it was very hard to win his trust. However, I still remember that one day after I had taken care of him for around 2 months, when he gave me a hug before I left. Even though it might seem like something small, for me it was such a happy moment.
