I have been babysitting since I was 13 years old. When I was 16 I began working at a daycare. In my first year at the daycare I worked with all ages from 0-6 years old. In my second year, I worked exclusively with infants. Therefore, I am very experienced with multitasking and staying on track with feeding, sleeping, and changing schedules. I am also very familiar with early childhood developmental milestones, so I will be sure to be very interactive and engaging with your child to ensure I best support their growth. For the past year I have been working as a nanny. I would be happy to provide you with any references from any families or employers who I have worked for!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Aside from the child's health and safety, which is of course of top priority, I believe the next most important thing is creating a bond and forming a positive relationship with not only the children, but also the families. With how hard it is to find TRUSTED childcare, it's important for families to feel like they have a relationship with their nanny, the person they are trusting to watch their little ones. It is also very important that the child also feels this bond. They need to feel cared about and understood by the person taking care of them. This takes a lot of patience, and ultimately comes from truly loving the work you do and having endless compassion and understanding for the children.
