Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a preschool teacher for 2 and a half years. Worked mainly with little ones that were 1 to 2 years old. As well, got to work with students ages 3 to 4! Before the pandemic, while I was in college, I worked as an aftercare teacher with elementary aged students from Kindergarten to 3rd grade.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing arts and crafts, I think that was my favorite part as a preschool teacher. Not only seeing how differently each child expressed themselves but the parents’ reaction to seeing the crafts! I also love just conversing with little ones, seeing how their little brains work and how even when they may see really young, how they form their thoughts and opinions.

My experience with special needs children...
When I worked as a preschool teacher, I did get the experience of working with special needs students. Of course with the help of their RBT, we were able to include and involve the student in the activities we had during the day.

I was never a nanny but my favorite part of being a preschool teacher teacher was hearing the parents tells me how their little ones would go home and tell them stories about me and how the student called me “Ms. Stephy”. The parents would come to me and say they were talking about Stephy all day! I also love again conversing with them and hearing the lit one’s stories about their weekends or the events they had, kids really are the funniest.
