I've babysat for several families, often with multiple kids of varying ages at once. Besides that, I've been a volunteer art teacher at a preschool for 3 years.
I'm offering help with homework, meals, and animals, along with babysitting. I speak both French and English fluently, as well as strong Mandarin. While raising my children I went into business with my husband. We both ran a small stainless steel fabrication shop. He did the welding and I did the front office. As we began to grow we hired family members. When things got really busy we hired on more help. We continued to be very successful until COVID. We had to let everyone go. Only family could work. By that time my son was old enough and stepped in and began welding. He would come in after school and then in-between classes when he started college. My husband passed in May of 2021. I did my best to keep it going with the help of my son, but after 3 1/2 years we had to shut the doors. Even with diversifying we weren’t able to bring in enough money to pay the overhead. The business closed after 21 years at the end of October, so now I find myself looking for work.
