More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I frequently cared for client's pets while working as a veterinary nurse, which also led to childcare of same clients for date-nights, weekends & over-nights. I took a position with the Appaloosa Horse Club in Italy & found myself also providing childcare as an au-pair. Most recently, I completed a year with a family. I cared for their toddler & infant, in a blended household with multiple step-children, cousins, pets & loving-chaos at every turn.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Healthy meals & snacks, nature walks, swimming, arts & crafts, outings to the park & library for story time, help with manners & general politeness, exploring languages: French, Italian, Swedish, reading books, cell phone for music but no video games, gardening, animal appreciation, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is showing up for them at a time in a child's life when they are so curious, wide-eyed, attention seeking, needing a guardian & a friend. The many boys & girls I've cared for will probably not remember me. Though, I'll recall their smiles, cries, milestones (walking, speaking, etc.) -- their moments of trust & sensitivity to explore the world around them.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have any special needs experience. I have cared for children pre & post divorce, blended family dynamics, which possibly, some of us can relate to from our own childhood. Otherwise, no specific care of children with developmental issues.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I cared for a toddler girl, my daughter's same age, while working & living in Salsomaggiore Terme Parma Italy for the Appaloosa Horse Club. The girls attended school together, rode ponies, learned to swim, went to town for gelato & shared several holidays. The girls switched languages, with my daughter speaking Italian & my charge speaking English. Nothing was ever forced, their frienship bond grew organically. It was a cheerished time in both their lives & are friends as adults!

Full-Time Nanny Available in Tempe, AZ: Maria N.
Hello! I am looking for a loving family, who is looking for a nanny. That's where I came in! I am Maria Nevarez nanny with experience in children from 1 year to 10 years old. Right now I am living in Tempe, Phoenix, Arizona. I am looking for a family that is loving, friendly and most importantly, who has the confidence to leave their children in my hands, where the children will spend hours of games and entertainment where they can spend all their energy. I consider myself a fun, friendly, loving, playful person. For me the most important thing is that the children do not see me as just another babysitter or worker, I like them to see me as their adventure partner and a person they can trust. My email is [email hidden] for any questions, information or interest, do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you.
