More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was in charge of the Nursery/ Sunday school program for children at St. Paul in the Desert in Palm Springs for many years. I also Directed the Nursery/ Preschool program @ St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Palm Desert. I enjoy helping with homework & being a tudor in Math, Writing & Reading for children in Kindergarten & First Grade. I did spend many years volunteering in the Preschool age room at The Oasis Pentecostal Church in Palm Desert. I have many families that I have babysat over the years. I owned a large family home day care where I took care of infants & toddlers for over 10 years. I taught Preschool & PreK for over 10 glorious years. I have an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education & Child development.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I have lots of age appropriate games, puzzles & art activities that I bring with me. I enjoy watching them go swimming, riding their bikes & scooters. I encourage creative activities without electronics. We play dress up, sing & paint & do lots of fun stuff!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I enjoy the privilege of being a part of a child's growth & development. Knowing that I have created a bond & a trust with each child is so rewarding. Earning the respect & trust of the parents is an important part of being a caregiver for children. I have helped lots & lots of families over the years & still help them on an "as needed" basis.
My experience with special needs children...
I am currently caring for an 7 yr. old autistic boy. I also watch his twin sister. I have been with them for over 4 years. I help both of them with their academics & we do lots of fun age appropriate activities.

When I met the family with 3 yr. Twins, neither one of them could talk. To see how far they both have come in 4 yrs. is very rewarding.. The boy who is autistic
