I also put a lot of emphasis on making sure they learn how to handle any conflict or hardships they may face and also know how to regulate their emotions after something upsets them.

My favorite moment has to be finishing a big project with one of the boys I cared for. Seeing the excitement on his face and how happy he was that we had actually built something from his imagination is a moment that has just stuck in my mind.
