A little bit about me

Hello! My name’s Sydney and I just moved to Michigan about 2 years ago from Indiana. I’ve traveled all around the United States in my Subaru Forester, living in Arizona, Colorado, California, and now Michigan. I just bought my first home with my partner here in Wyandotte about a month ago and have finally planted my roots. When I lived in Indiana, I worked with autistic children as a behavior technician for about a year. During that time, I really enjoyed spending time with my kiddos and working one on one with them. I’ve had my own business since 2022 making stained glass, and since we just bought a home, I’d like to have a secondary source of income to help more. I’ve been thinking a lot lately, and I’ve decided i want that secondary source of income to be from working with children again. It was the most fulfilling job I’ve ever had, and I’d love nothing more than to spend quality time with your child and take care of them on days that you’re working.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked with autistic children between the ages of 2-10 for a little over a year. I also babysat 2 children for 3 years between the ages of 5 and 10. I also have 7 nieces that I watch from time to time when I go home to Indiana to visit the family.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

playing with blocks, interacting with them while playing an educational game, going to the playground, biking, swinging, watching kid friendly shows and movies, snuggling, story time, taking walks, playing imaginary games, hide and seek, tag, and just talking to one another (if they’re of age or verbal).

I’ve worked with all types of special needs and Autistic children. From non verbal to highly reactive. I know how to care for them and how to work with them the way that best suits each of their needs.
