More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve babysat two families regularly for the past 7 years and I also volunteered at a library to read to children. I worked as a camp counselor for two summers at a basketball camp. I’m also the oldest cousin (20 years old) in a very large family and have often had to take care of or watch over the younger kids.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy playing board games, hide and go seek, doing some sort of fun craft, and watching movies inside, but I also love making up fun new games with kids. For example there’s one game I play with my cousins on the trampoline called earthquake and I just have to go crazy and bounce them everywhere. They always beg me to play it whenever we jump. I also love playing basketball or soccer or anything like that.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Definitely patience. That’s so important with children. But also finding the right balance between fun and stern. Be fun most of the time, but stern when necessary. And just be attentive to the kids always.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Went stargazing on the trampoline at night and told each other goofy stories. The next morning their mom texted and said they wouldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had.
