I take a pretty intuitive approach. Each kiddo is unique but I’ve found some universal things that make a huge impact on a little one’s mood and behavior. Outside time, creative play, and sunshine are foundations of my approach. Depending on sensory sensitivity music can be great, puzzles, building things, I like to feel engaged with the kids I work with. Presence alone makes all the difference .

Being a safe place. Safety is a big umbrella but it covers a lot of areas. If a kiddo feels safe, they’re nervous system is regulated, they can communicate better, feel supported, loved, and encouraged.

I have experience with autism. I’m comfortable with helping with any tools the family has in place, attending OT, PT or any additional therapies.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I wouldn’t say I have a single moment but one of the most rewarding things to see or hear as a nanny is a child asking for you when you’re not there or sad to see you go at the end of the day. It’s equally heartwarming when they run up to you and hug you upon arrival.
