More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am trained in education and have student taught in both a blended preschool and third-grade classroom. I had clinical experiences in a second-grade, first grade, and self-contained preschool setting. I also have worked as a caregiver to two amazing teens with severe disabilities. This gave me experience with children that are non-verbal and non-mobile. As well as experience with G-tubes, communication devices, lifts, and working with a variety of therapists, such as OT, PT, and ABA.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Anything that can allow us to get messy, move, and learn all at once. Whether it be through recreating a science experiment, going for a nature walk, or making an art project! I also love to sing! So whenever there is an opportunity to incorporate some music I do!

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children that have quadriplegic cerebral palsy and autism. As well as some time working with students in a classroom setting who either had behavior issues, autism, developmental delays, or speech delays.
