The most important apart about being a nanny or dealing with children in general is making sure the children feelings are considered. You also have to have patience and to know how to channel your energy because children can feel your energy good or bad.
My experience with special needs children...
I love children with special needs most of all autism. I feel you just have to learn the things they like and dislike to help you know how they feel or why they feel a how. I’ve seen happy children and upset children and sometimes they can need space or even just to feel loved. All in all they a normal humans they just need more loving and sometimes help.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment would have to be when the child find that you are one of their safe places and can come tell you if something’s wrong or asking you for advice or even just not wanting me to leave even after mommy or daddy comes home.

I’m not currently CPR certified, but I’m calm under pressure and can get that certification if it is required.
