More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I often volunteer at programs and organizations that help kids. I donate my time at school events around my area, and I have worked with kids during clinical rotations.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy cooking with children and showing them how to navigate around the kitchen safely. I like to take kids outside for a breath of fresh air, and to get sun and release energy. I also like doing outings with kids and taking them to see/try/do new things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny in my opinion is making sure that the children are safe and well at all times while in my care. Another important part of being a nanny is having basic life saving instincts, children especially infants and toddlers often put things in their mouths and choke. So I feel as if knowing CPR and heimlich maneuvers can be lifesaving in life threatening. I think another important part is having integrity.

My experience with special needs children...

Working with special needs children will always have a special place in my heart. I have an autistic cousin and I've worked with special needs children during clinical rotation.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A memorable moment I had as a nanny was when I was in the kitchen with the child I was looking after. We were in the kitchen making smoothies and the lid to the blender was not on there securely so when I pressed start, the lid came off and the smoothie went all over the place. It was really funny.
