The most important part about being a nanny is to make sure the child is happy and safe and that they FEEL safe. The best part is knowing that they feel safe with you and happy when you’re with them
My experience with special needs children...
My little sister has autism so I do have experience with that although I feel I should mention she is only slightly on the spectrum so really the only thing I have noticed after babysitting her is that she has a daily routine that she MUST follow, is extremely sensitive, and tends to get upset easily.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite experience I’ve had with children was definitely when I worked at the pool and taught children who knew almost nothing about swimming, learn how to swim by the end of the summer. It was such a heartwarming moment to watch it click in their heads and realize that they suddenly didn’t need me anymore to help them swim!
