Professionally, I worked at a private daycare for 2.5 years, and as a nanny for 1 year. I have also worked in church daycares and helped out friends with their kids over the years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Depends on what they like! The most important thing is to observe the child and see what you can bring to the table that will play off their current interests, and what you can do to broaden their horizons and introduce things that might spark a new interest. I love cooking with kids, introducing them to new work that will help improve their skills or teach a new one in various areas.

Building relationships with the child(ren) and family. Also, being able to adjust your teaching style and expectations based on the interest and developmental level of the individual child.
