Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Chandler, AZ: Brooke A.
My name is Brooke. I am 22 years old & I always say that i basically grew up babysitting because i have 5 younger siblings. An i am not even the oldest of all my siblings. Believe me, there are quite a few of us. When i was 12, I took care of my two younger brothers, Jase (2 years old at the time) an Colton (8 years old at the time). We were living with my father full time during the whole summer, who worked from 5 am to 10 pm. And our mother lived out of state. So all day every single day my brothers were my responaibility. We did not have very much money at the time so i made due with whatever we had handy. But luckily, we had a pool and I taught Jase to swim at a very young age so he became a very strong swimmer and although we didnt have much of an income, my brothers and i still had one of the best summers ever that year.
Because of that experience when i was 16, I decided that I didnt want any other job than babysitting or being a nanny. I spoke with my neighbors who were a younger couple an they worked often. They had two younger girls an when i began watching them they were the age of 6 months and 2 years! From there, my nanny career took off an i have been babysitting/ nannying children ever since and i absolutely love it.
I enjoy being a nanny because i believe it is important to feel like a kid again every once in a while. I get that experience every day with children. The KIDS actually encourage ME and push me to use my imagination which Im sure as adults we wouldn't use often otherwise. Imagination is a necessity to life. It invites creativity which in turn invites inventions of all kinds. Imagination can determine a childs very future. You need to be able to 100% trust the person whom you are leaving your children with. That person needs to be kind, patient, caring and nurturing while you are away so that you know if anything were to happen, that person would do anything to make sure your childs needs, safety and well being come before anything ...
