Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Depending on age, I love preparing a myriad of different things to do together.
This may include anything from sensory bins, scavenger hunts outside, self-led outdoor adventures by the kiddos or puzzles on the living room floor, imaginative play, art and gardening.
My goal is to create experiences where they can spend their time using their minds in inspiring ways, while creating strong body's and experiencing joy.
I love supporting kids in creating a self-led environment where they suddenly find chores, homework and some of the more mundane life skills fun, enjoyable and energizing.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part about being a nanny is being present.
When I am fully present (and undistracted by screens etc) then I am able to address anything that comes up and needs my attention in the moment.
I have spent the last 15 years professionally (and a lifetime) of gathering tool sets to share with kids in a host of different situations, so it allows me to practice and share this presence with them.
Each child is different and each day is different for the same child.
I believe being present, kind, loving, clear, communicative and consistent is the most powerful thing a nanny can do for a child.

My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children who have autism, ADHD and ADD, RAD (reactive attachment disorder) and many other diagnosis that can make navigating the world a bit more challenging for them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many moments that light me up with joy... but one of my favorite ones was spending time with a girl who planted a tower garden.
We would go out to the garden, identify each plant, talk about its health properties and then pick some of the veggies and "taste test" them. We would talk about recipes we were going to make and other flavors that would align with it, as well as the veggies companion plants.
It's SO much fun to have the kids in the garden and around food they grow because they get so excited about eating and sharing it.

I have a genuine passion for caring for children and creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment for them to grow. While I am new to professional nannying, I have been caring for my three younger siblings since I was 13 years old. Through that experience, Iāve helped with after-school routines, prepared snacks and simple meals, assisted with homework, and planned engaging activities both indoors and outdoors. I enjoy coming up with creative activities that keep kids active and learning, whether thatās playing outside, doing crafts, or organizing games at home. I am also comfortable caring for pets, as I have experience with animals in my own home. am CPR and First Aid certified and have a reliable car for school pick-ups, activities, and errands. I am responsible, patient, and dependable, and I truly enjoy building positive connections with the children I care for.
