Hello families! 😊 My name is Terrianne Agbi (Terri)! I have 7 years of childcare experience with children ages 5 months–12 years.

I previously worked with one family for 4 years, growing from a babysitter into a nanny-style role involving childcare, developmental play, household duties, and travelling with the family. I’ve also worked as a house manager, handling cooking, cleaning, laundry, lunch packing, school preparation, and transportation.

My experience also includes working as a mother’s helper/nanny, supporting families with active play, outings, creative activities, and household tasks.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy spending time outdoors with children, whether that’s going to the park, exploring nature, playing games, or simply letting them use their imagination. I find that outdoor play is a great way to get to know a child’s personality, interests, and what they enjoy most. I also love getting creative and coming up with fun, age-appropriate activities based on their interests. Every child is different, so I always try to adjust activities to what they enjoy and make sure they’re having fun! 😊

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is building a trusting and genuine relationship with the children and their family. I want children to feel safe, comfortable, and supported when they’re with me, while also making sure they can have fun and be themselves. I think it’s important to understand that every child is different, so I always try to learn their personality, interests, and individual needs. I also believe being reliable and communicating well with parents is a big part of being a great nanny. At the end of the day, I want families to feel confident knowing their children are in good hands!!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I’ve been nannying for several years, so I have so many favourite moments, but one of my favourite things about nannying is getting to watch children grow and build a genuine connection with them. One moment that really stands out to me is with a child I’ve been babysitting for a long time. When I first started, he was very shy with me and always wanted his mom. He wouldn’t even hold my hand when we crossed the street. Over time, that completely changed. Now, whenever he sees me, he runs up to give me a hug and happily holds my hand, even when his mom is there. It still makes me so happy because I remember how shy he was when we first met. Seeing that little bit of growth reminds me how special it is to build trust with a child and grow alongside the families I work with. ❤️
