I've worked in all ages of preschool classrooms from infants to school-age in a licensed facility here in the Desert. But my special intrest is serving private families.

I enjoy facilitating play by setting up age appropriate activities to engage a child and then allowing them to take the lead in their experience. Kids in younger ages need help with the routine of life so I like to make a schedule or checklist that is age-appropriate which should include personal care tasks as well as cleaning chores.

I take safety seriously. And while my education and experience will tell me that the most important part of being a nanny is meeting a child's needs with love and respect, I feel it's equally important to support the parents. I use any free time I have to clean the house spic and span.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I ran a homework club in my home this past year and I really enjoyed rolling up to the park with 6 kids and a wagon full of snacks and bubbles. We get a lot of attention with such a group but I have great control over my class and kids just keep joining in the group. It's great.
