A little bit about me

I am 40 years old, and have lived in the Rogue Valley for most of my adult life. My husband is a mechanic and my daughter is a junior at Colorado College.

I have been a professional caregiver for the past 12 years. I adore children and am motivated to make life easier for busy families. I am reliable, excel at establishing routines, and communicate well with parents. I've typically worked for families for multiple years (usually between two and six years in duration), which has enabled me to establish long-term supportive and consistent caregiving relationships.

I am fun, goofy, gentle, and compassionate, and I will play outside no matter the weather! Local outings are one way I provide enrichment experiences - whether that's visiting parks, going to the library, attending music classes, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Of utmost importance is the safety and happiness of the children in my care. I work hard to find joyful and creative ways for children to engage in developmentally appropriate activities. My goal is for parents to feel at ease knowing their children are safe and are being cared for with kindness and patience. Of equal importance is that the children in my care feel safe and are eager to spend their time with me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

-My favorite moments have included teaching young children sign language so they can communicate even before they are able to say words.
-I also enjoy knowing that the children enjoy my care, such as when they say they love me or when a 1 year old said my name in excitement when I arrived for the start of the day.
