Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I grew up in a house full of foster kids, so naturally I met new kids all the time, and the second i turned 16 I became the legal babysitter to help my mother when she was unavailable. I loved it! This grew my connection with children immensely and drew me to the idea of helping other parents relax in the same way.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me the most important part about being a nanny, is that I am able to provide a safe and fun space for the children I care for, and their parents can relax in knowing that their child is in good hands. Making everyone happy is what matters most.
My experience with special needs children...
I have three siblings with special needs. Growing up with them I realized how people can treat them differently because of who they are. This alone made me want to help give a safe judgement-free environment for other children with the same needs. Since I was 17 i have cared for two special needs children, and I loved every minute of it, they are absolutely no different from any other child, they just need a bit more love from the world!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My top favorite nanny moment was in 2025, when the child i was caring for literally chased me to my car and begged me to stay! I was so touched that they felt I was their friend, and not just a stranger.
